For over fifty years, graduate analysts of the Western New England Institute for Psychoanalysis have been among the most highly respected practitioners of adult and child psychoanalysis and psychotherapy in the country. Many have become prominent leaders in psychoanalysis and other branches of psychiatry. Our members are known throughout the world for the high quality of their scholarly and research contributions to the academic literature.

In addition to providing adult and child training in the practice of psychoanalysis, Western New England has a long and proud tradition of serving the communities in Connecticut through its clinical and educational programs. The low-fee Psychoanalytic Clinic at our Institute has enabled countless individuals to receive psychoanalysis who otherwise would not be able to afford this in-depth psychological treatment.  Our Institute and Society annually offer an extensive slate of lectures, courses and programs that are open to the public and widely subscribed. Our members also generously volunteer many hours of their time for teaching and supervision in psychoanalysis to large numbers of students at academic centers in the area, including the Yale Department of Psychiatry and Yale Child Study Center.

Donor giving provides much needed support that enables us to continue to offer these high quality clinical and educational programs to the community and also to  train the next generation of psychoanalysts. You can contribute to:

1) The Endowment Fund

Contributions to this Fund will help assure the long term programmatic future of the Western New England Psychoanalytic Institute.
       
2) The Samuel Ritvo Scholarship Fund

Contributions to this Fund will provide scholarship aid for candidates in the Child Analysis Program at the Institute.

3) The General Fund

This is our largest fund of unrestricted income and supports the day-to-day operations of the Institute and Society.

Gifts to the Institute/Society are tax-deductible and must be mailed.
